Kind of limited on how to evaluate the charger since it's not going head to head with any other chargers. For starters, it's quite large. I did buy more capacity than I needed because it came with a free Core. But the 20a version is not much smaller. So finding a place to mount this in an RV is a bit of an exercise. Install is straight-forward. Why they don't include a template for the bolt pattern on the charger escapes me. Getting screws located correctly is the hardest part. The wire clamps for the input/output are also easy to mess up. You need to back them off very far in order to make sure you open enough for the clamps to do their job. Basic stuff, but it's more turns with a screwdriver than you might expect. The included BT-1 module is plug and play. It comes with a very long cord, so be prepared to coil and hide it or if you have the tools, skills and willingness to risk the warranty, cut it down and install a new connector. It also has a blindingly bright blue LED. In a motorhome, this shines like a lighthouse beacon in the middle of the night. Hiding the module or a bit of black electrical tape is kind of a necessity if it is in your line of sight. The Core works great so far. Very nice touchscreen and display. It makes you want more devices plugged in since just a charger is kind of minimal. Should be a good seller for Renogy and drive additional adoption of smart products. The RV Leveler is nice. I have leveling jacks, so this really just confirms what my auto-leveler knows, but it is still a nice feature. A few rough edges with the Core software and DC Home App. Dates on the solar yield in the app are not formatted in "'Merica" and instead are DD/MM. Most likely a foreign software team used a local format. Easy enough to fix down the road. The delays in reporting solar yield are also significant. Usually about a day and a half before it shows up. Also a software issue, so something that will probably get fixed. Overall, good package.
