    Well made

These are well made cables but pretty stiff and difficult to make tight turns.

I used these cables to wire

Posted by Gregory morgus on Mar 27th 2020

I used these cables to wire a Renogy 700 watt pure sine wave inverter into my 77 square foot travel trailer. My wife wants toast, real toast from a toaster kind of toast - with her tea. I found a small toaster oven that uses 550 watts with a small footprint and the battery/inverter did a fine job on the bench in the garage. Since the location needed 4 to 5 feet of cable, I ordered 4 awg cables in 5 foot. The install went well, I cut the positive cable to include an in line circuit breaker. I required more carpentry skill than anything else to make it neat and convenient. The cables are true 4 awg (not 4 awg/0!) so everything went to spec. As would be expected, they are pretty stiff so try and route in a way to avoid much in the way of 90 degree bends. The quality of build, and component quality seems to be good. Sadly because of Covid 19 it seems we won't be giving this a real time test for a while. But it works nicely and the inverter really makes everything better. My trailer is powered by Renogy! 100 watt solar suitcase, 700 watt inverter, 100 amp hour agm battery. We have had no problems keeping up our battery while spending weeks at a time with no generator or electrical plug in available. I calculate the inverter use is well within our energy "budget" and will add about 20 minutes real time solar charging to our solar charging schedule. Renogy customer service has been excellent. The 4 awg cables will insure that resistance over 5 feet will not be a problem. Be safe and happy camping, Go Renogy.
