How to Troubleshoot A Core Lithium Battery If The Battery Heating Function Is Not Working?
Why isn't the heating function of my Core lithium battery working? If you're into tech, dealing with a Core lithium battery whose heating function doesn't work can be a real pain, how to do the battery troubleshooting? Even with a fancy battery bank, you might run into this issue. If you're stuck with this, there are some easy tricks to try. Let's figure out why your power's acting up and what you can do about it.
This troubleshooting guide applies to the following products:
- 12V 100Ah Core Series Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (SKU: RBT12100LFP)
- 12V/24V/48V 200Ah Core Series Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (SKU: RBT12200LFP)
- 12V 300Ah Core Series Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery w/Self-Heating (SKU: RBT12300LFPSH)
- 24V 100Ah Core Series Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (SKU: RBT24100LFPSH)
- 24V 200Ah Core Series Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate (SKU: RBT24200LFPSH)
Why Doesn't The Heating Function Of My Core Battery Work?
Unfortunately, when the heating function of your Core lithium battery doesn’t work, there could be a variety of reasons behind the problem. The issues might stem from a damaged battery or external factors unrelated to the lithium battery itself. It may require some trial and error as well as battery troubleshooting to uncover the underlying cause.
What Are The Factors Affecting The Function Of Heating?
1. Not meeting the activation conditions for the individual battery's self-heating function.
2. Not meeting the activation conditions for the heating film when two or more batteries are connected in parallel.
Troubleshooting RV Battery Problems: A Step by Step Guide
For a single battery, please verify whether the following conditions are met:
1. Voltage Difference: The voltage difference between the external charging device's charging voltage and the battery voltage is greater than 0.8V.
2. Necessary Current for Heating Film: The charging device can provide a continuous and stable charging current (recommended to be greater than 15A).
3. Temperature Conditions: The internal temperature of the battery is below 41°F/5°C and above the minimum operating temperature (-4℉/-20℃) of the heating film.
------Possible Results------
Positive: All the above conditions are simultaneously met, but the heating function is not activated. It is determined as a battery heating film malfunction. Please refer to the after-sales process.
Negative: The above conditions are not simultaneously met. Please ensure that all the above conditions are met before retesting.
For a battery bank, please verify whether the following conditions are met:
4. Voltage Difference Between Batteries: The voltage difference between the two batteries needs to be higher than 0.8V for the heating films of both batteries to operate simultaneously.
