Solar Suitcase Overview
Our solar suitcases are sold either with a PWM controller already prewired to the solar panels, or without a PWM controller. For the solar suitcase that already comes prewired with a PWM charge controller, one option can be to simply connect this suitcase product to your battery bank in your RV using the MC4 to alligator clips cable with fuse, or either installing a Renogy PWM controller to the solar ready RV instead of a Zamp controller, or leaving the Zamp controller installed, and connecting panel-only Renogy solar suitcases using the proper cable adapters and SAE ports.
Solar Suitcase w/o Renogy Charge Controller
One option would be to use the solar suitcase panels only, without the attached Renogy charge controller on it, if your solar ready RV has a Zamp Solar Sidewall Port or a Zamp Solar Roof Cap, which have most of the wiring done for you for your RV solar system, and if your RV already comes with a Zamp charge controller as well. If your RV has a Zamp Solar Sidewall Port, you can connect a compatible SAE cable with MC4 connectors adapter to connect the solar suitcase that does not have a Renogy charge controller attached to it. If your RV has a Zamp Solar Roof Cap, either 1-port, 2-port, or 3-port, you can also connect a compatible SAE cable with MC4 connectors adapter to connect the solar suitcase that does not have a Renogy charge controller attached to it.
Solar Suitcase and Renogy Charge Controller
Another option would be to have the Zamp PWM controller uninstalled from your solar ready RV and use the high quality Renogy PWM controller that may come with the solar suitcase if you buy a solar suitcase with a charge controller included. In this scenario, you would already have the panels and controller prewired into one product, and you would just have to connect to the battery bank using the proper MC4 to alligator clips cable. You can also have a Renogy PWM controller installed in your RV replacing a Zamp controller, and connect one or more solar suitcases without the prewired Renogy controllers attached to them, to the Renogy PWM controller in your solar ready RV.
