Efficient and Stable, Safe for Applicances
Renogy inverters excel in efficiency, stability, and safety. They efficiently convert power, minimizing losses and maximizing output. The inverter’s stability ensures reliable performance across various conditions, while safeguarding appliances and extending their lifespan.
Why My Appliances Trips?
High peak current and voltage demands often cause appliances to trip. The issue can be related to the load characteristics of inductive appliances. To avoid these tripping issues, ensure your electrical system is capable of handling peak current and voltage demands from appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, humidifiers, and more.
Cooling Fan
Poor air circulation in a sealed space can lead to overheating. Inverters with cooling fans improve airflow, ensuring smooth operation.
GFCI & Safety Protection
GFCI and safety protection are essential to prevent electrical hazards. The GFCI detects ground faults, interrupting electricity to avoid shocks and fires in high-risk areas.
Proper Chassis Grounding
Proper grounding helps prevent electrical shock and equipment damage, ensuring safety during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the inverter with a 24V system?
No, this inverter is only compatible with a 12V battery system. It cannot be used with a 24V system.
Can I use this inverter to charge my batteries?
No, the Renogy 12V DC to 120V AC inverter only converts DC power to AC power. To charge your batteries, consider the Renogy Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger, which is available in 12V 1000W and 12V 2000W options.
What size inverter should I buy?
Sizing the Right Power Output: Choose an inverter that can handle 1½ times the total wattage of the devices you plan to run simultaneously. For example, if you have a 500W fridge and 800W air conditioning, the total load is 1300W, so you'd need an inverter rated for at least 1300W or higher. Renogy 2000W or 3000W inverters are suitable for such loads. Check Your Battery Voltage: Ensure the inverter is compatible with your battery’s voltage (e.g., 12V). Size Your Installation Space: Make sure the inverter fits in your designated area with adequate ventilation. Remote Operation: Renogy inverters come with remote control and DC HOME APP options for convenient operation from a distance.
Do I need Modified Sine Wave or Pure Sine Wave?
Modified Sine Wave (MSW) inverters are less expensive and work for basic appliances, but may cause issues with sensitive electronics or audio equipment, causing them to run hotter and less efficiently. Pure Sine Wave (PSW) inverters are more expensive but offer clean, stable power, making them ideal for sensitive electronics, inductive loads (e.g., microwave ovens, motors), and providing quieter, cooler operation. PSW inverters have lower total harmonic distortion (THD) than MSW inverters, offering cleaner power like the grid.
How do I hook up the Inverter? What size cable should I use, and is it included?
For optimal performance, always use the thickest wire possible and keep the cable length as short as possible. The package does not include battery cables, but we recommend using 4/0 AWG cables for the best results.
Can this inverter work with Lithium batteries?
Yes, as long as the lithium battery is rated for 12V applications, it will work with this inverter.
What is the function of a battery inverter?
The battery inverter converts DC power from the battery or solar panels into AC power, making it compatible with household appliances and devices. Without an inverter, the DC electricity produced by solar panels is unusable for AC-powered devices.
What's the difference between a Modified Sine Wave (MSW) inverter and a Pure Sine Wave (PSW) inverter?
MSW inverters provide a rugged waveform that can cause interference or inefficiency in certain appliances, especially sensitive electronics. PSW inverters provide a smoother, more consistent waveform, similar to utility power, and are better suited for running inductive loads like microwave ovens and motors, with less noise and more efficient operation.
Why do my electrical appliances trip?
There are several potential causes: Overloading: Running multiple appliances simultaneously can exceed the inverter's capacity, triggering over-current and over-voltage protection. Inductive Loads: Appliances like air conditioners and refrigerators have high starting currents that can cause trips. Short Circuits: Any electrical appliance with a short circuit can trip the system. Loose Wiring: Poor connections or loose circuit wiring can cause trips. Inspect and tighten any loose connections.
What can I use with the Renogy 3000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter?
You can use loads with a power rating of 3000 watts or less, such as a portable freezer, microwave, or Renogy 12V 400Ah batteries. However, avoid running all devices simultaneously if their combined power consumption exceeds 3000 watts.
Can I use the Bluetooth Module to monitor this inverter charger from my phone? Which Bluetooth Module should I buy?
Unfortunately, this inverter does not support Bluetooth connectivity, so there is no compatible Bluetooth module available for monitoring.

I bought this to fully power a 3rd wheel (RV) and take the surge power of a new heat pump AC/heater unit. That is all working well. The unit is lightweight for the given power. I haven't tried running at 3kW continuous to see if it can take it. I like the AC outlets and that there are hardware AC points. However, I found that both the DC terminals and the those hardwire AC terminals were undersized. The DC terminals did not naturally fit the 4/0 AWG wire required to run 3000W at 12V. The nice protective caps in no way would fit that size terminal and cable. It seems like the terminals we're the ones that would've been used in a 2000W inverter with 2/0 AWG or smaller cable. Similarly, I had heck of a hard time getting the hardwire 10AWG cable into those terminals. Once again, it seemed like those terminals were designed for the next size down inverter. It's like the OEM manufacturer just upgraded (hopefully?) the electronics inside the inverter for 3k, 12V but not the exterior terminals.
In any case, I give it 3 stars because it seems to handle my load where my previous 2kw inverter did not. But the underrated connections make the overall design feel dubious.

Enough power to start a Dometic Penguin II without a silly capacitor accessory.

It¡¯s strange what impresses me lately. I never realized ¡°can allow the air conditioner for a 72 square foot space to power on¡± would be high praise for an electrical component and yet, here we are. Dometic, despite their claims of modernity, mostly produces appallingly inefficient appliances with 1950s technology solely because RV buyers don¡¯t know any better. There¡¯s tons on RV blogs about people being proud of finding ¡°hacks¡± to allow them to accomplish this incredible feat of turning on a single room air conditioner with a mere 70 pound 2200 watt gasoline generator, because, impressively, they can fit such generators inside their vehicles. My friends, this Renogy 3000w inverter can power that absurd fossil of a cooling device with less than 75 pounds of batteries, and if you were reckless about cooling you could fit the whole shebang inside a regular army foot locker.

Powerful quiet inverter

I’ve had this inverter mounted in my 2022 Rockwood 2883WS for just about a year. I have 4x100ah Renogy lithiums wired to it, along with the factory 1500w inverter. When I need more power I plug my shore power into this inverter and kill my converter. On a recent trip to Lawsons Landing Ca we camped for 4 days this way, running microwave, electric water heat (at times) and coffee makers. Never even touched the generator. I have 800w on top of the trailer. This setup is bad to the bone for us, and quite inexpensive compared to what could be spent on a system. I have soft starts on my 15k and 13.5k a/c this inverter will run each of them with no issue but not together! I highly recommend this inverter and battery combination! I don’t think I need more honestly for our boondocking. The ability to run A/C is more of a bragging right for me than anything!

This is a monster of Inverter, I used this to run my Amateur Radio Station(Ham Radio) and accessories. I need to add a second battery for those cloudy days but other than this Renogy recommends 2 (two) 170-ah batteries are dead on! Get this if you want to have reserve power for your 120v needs and with its 6000 watts surge this can run a lot of gear or equipment.
