NOTE:
  • Do not over-torque or over-tighten the terminals. This could potentially damage the unit.
  • Be careful of the positive and negative poles. Reversing the poles might cause permanent damage to the inverter. It will surely blow the internal fuse.
  • Avoid switching on the inverter with the load (electronic devices) already switched on. This may trigger an overload since some electronic devices have an initial high power surge to start.
  • When switching off the inverter, turn off the electronic devices first. Although the inverter is off, the capacitors will still have a charge, so the DC and AC terminals must be disconnected if altering the circuitry.

FAQ

1. What's the difference between an inverter charger and an inverter?

The Inverter acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances. The Inverter Charger not only acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances but also charge and maintain a battery bank when connected to shore power.
2. Can I use the inverter with a 24V system?

No. This model can only work with a 12V battery system.
3. What's a battery temperature sensor?

The charger needs to select the charging mode according to the battery voltage. The Temperature Sensor can compensate the battery voltage affected by temperature so that the charger recognizes the voltage more accurately and assures stable and constant charging to the battery, Prolong battery lifespan.
Note: The DC-DC Temperature Sensor cannot use with Lithium batteries.
4. What size inverter should I buy?

1. Sizing the right power output.
Inverters will be rated by a wattage value, telling you how many watts they can run at one time. For example, imagine you had a 500 Watt Fridge and 800 Watt Air Conditioning. These two items would be 1300 Watts and would require an inverter with a higher wattage than 1300W. Renogy 2000W and 3000W inverter will meet your power needs.
2. Check your battery voltage.
The DC voltage rating on the inverter will tell you what battery bank it is compatible with. For example, a 12V battery bank will require an inverter that is compatible with 12V DC input.
3. Size your installation spaces.
What area or space will you set your inverter? Make sure the inverter will fit in the space you have in mind with enough room around it for proper ventilation and no fire hazards.
4. Remote operation is important.
Renogy pure sine inverters come with convenient remote control and DC HOME APP options so that you can operate the unit from afar.
5. Do I need Modified Sine Wave or Pure Sine Wave?

Modified sine wave inverters are older technology and generally less expensive. They can be used for many standard appliances but may cause trouble with delicate electronics or audio equipment. Some equipment may work but run hotter than normal.
Pure sine wave inverters are a bigger investment, but much more versatile.
a) Output voltage waveform is a pure sine wave with very low harmonic distortion and clean power like utility-supplied electricity.
b) Inductive loads like microwave ovens and motors run faster, quieter, and cooler.
c) Reduces audible and electrical noise in fans, fluorescent lights, audio amplifiers, TV, Game consoles, Fax, and answering machines.
d) Prevents crashes in computers, weird print out, and glitches and noise in monitors.
6. Can I use the Bluetooth Module to monitor this inverter charger from my phone? Which Bluetooth Module should I buy?

We apologize that there is No Bluetooth Module compatible with this inverter.

    Renogy 2000W

Posted by Shawn B on Jan 7th 2024

I have been in the market for a good quality inverter/charger for quite some time and I have made the right choice. This thing is a beast and rather simple to set up. I recommend reading the instructions to be sure you set this up correctly. I went as far as making my own input and output extension cables out of 12/3 wiring to be sure there would not be an issue. I have this set up for my Harman Absolute 63 pellet stove along with a deep cycle battery. My biggest concern was having an inverter/charger that has pure sine wave power. I have tested this 6 ways to Sunday and the Renogy Inverter worked flawlessly. This inverter/charger, along with the battery set up, will buy me some hours until I hook the whole system up to my Honda 2800i inverter if need be. If you are on the fence regarding a good inverter/charger with pure sine wave power, look no further. I will add this, I am not sponsored by Renogy but now a customer for life!!

    2000 watt/charger inverter

Posted by Christopher Wood on Dec 24th 2023

Was easy to install, but would be nice if there was a remote screen for the unit. Not always in a good location that you can see the screen easy. A full functioning remote screen would make this the perfect inverter!

    Excellent - Mr. Burns

Posted by TexasBlueTick on Mar 14th 2023

I purchased this Renogy Inverter/Charger for my popup camper about a month ago. It's much larger than you'd think based on the photos. I had just enough space to put it under the dining seat where my old inverter was. Easy hookup and works perfectly. I've got it connected to two Renogy 100AH Batteries. Keeps me topped off when plugged into shore power.

2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger

Posted by Darren on Aug 11th 2022

Installed in time to use on our 2 week road trip. Worked perfectly running everything/charging all our devices, and even would run our dometic penguin ii a/c. Installation was straight forward, but does take time to wire everything together.

Great inverter/ charger for the $$

    Posted by Defjr333 on Jun 5th 2022

Bought this inverter/ charger at Christmas while on sale. Have had installed for 4 months and works great. No issues with wiring even using 00AWG cable. It could use a bit more info on programming in the manual. Still not 100% sure using flooded settings are optimal for golf cart batteries. Will switch to Lithium in future though.
