Picture this: a family embracing the organic and off-grid lifestyle in a sustainable sanctuary crafted from the ground up. This vision became a cherished reality as we embarked on a remarkable adventure - the birth of EcoSardinal, our family farm. Inspired by our deep reverence for Mother Earth, our founder, Eddy, a former technology professor turned ecologist, spearheaded this project in the heart of Costa Rica's lush rainforests.
Back in 2018, we acquired an isolated piece of land with no available services beyond mobile Internet. Undeterred, we commenced building our dream farm from scratch in 2019.
One of our most significant challenges?
Powering our isolated mountain retreat. And so, our solar adventure took flight, illuminating a path towards an off-grid sanctuary that would inspire others to embrace sustainable living.
In the beginning, we immersed ourselves in the captivating world of solar technology. It was a time of learning and discovery, as we delved into the intricacies of designing and creating our very own solar systems. We experimented with various providers and branches, however; it was with Renogy that we found the perfect fit for our needs.

Empowering Sustainable Dreams: Harnessing the Sun's Energy on Our Farm
"With time and effort, our place stands as a testament to the power of renewable energy, with solar panels shining under the sun's rays, providing clean and abundant power for every aspect of life on the farm. This self-sufficiency allows our staff and guests to immerse themselves in outdoor adventures, from hiking along scenic trails to swimming on super-clear rivers, all while experiencing the wonders of the cloud rainforest.
The enchantment of our sustainable farm spreads far and wide, touching the hearts of countless individuals who visit us and seek their own solar adventure and strive to create a sustainable world.
This sustainable space is captivating the hearts of countless individuals who seek their own solar adventure and share our vision for a sustainable world. Our modest yet effective solar systems consist of six 100W 12V + one 50W, four 30W and even a couple of 20W panels, divided into three autonomous units, one for each cozy tiny house. With their unwavering performance, these panels power essential appliances, charge electronic devices and energize small tools and equipment. We use DC Home or Solar App to connect with the systems and monitor the performance of the solar arrays.
